Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I teach Aerial Yoga after completing this training?
In Germany and many other countries, there is no legal requirement for a certificate in order to teach yoga. This means that technically you are allowed to teach yoga with or without a certificate.
The certificate you receive after this training confirms that you have completed a 50-hour Aerial Yoga Teacher Training (Level 1). Many yoga studios value this and ask for such proof of education.
Whether you should start teaching after the training depends largely on how confident and ready you feel. The best prerequisite is, of course, an existing yoga teacher training, with Aerial Yoga as an extension of your skills.
I cannot officially permit or forbid you to teach after the training – but if you wish, I will be happy to give you an honest personal assessment based on your participation and development during the training.

Is this training only for yoga teachers?
No. While it is a great advantage if you already have a yoga teacher training, it is not a requirement.
Many participants join out of curiosity, personal interest, or the wish to deepen their own Aerial Yoga practice without necessarily wanting to teach afterwards.

How much prior experience do I need?
This is a Level 1 training, which means that we explore the foundations of Aerial Yoga step by step. Each asana is approached in detail, including alignment, purpose, safety aspects and teaching considerations.
You do not need to be advanced or highly experienced.
If you know what Aerial Yoga is and have participated in Aerial Yoga classes, you have all the experience you need to join this training.
Many participants join this training primarily for their own practice and understanding, not necessarily with the intention to teach afterward.
For this reason, no prior yoga teacher training is required to participate in the Aerial Yoga Teacher Training.

Do I need to be very strong or acrobatic?
No. You do not need to be particularly strong or acrobatic to participate.
The training focuses on understanding, safety and progression. All practices are approached gradually, and you are encouraged to work within your own physical possibilities.
Aerial Yoga can be gentle, grounding and restorative just as much as it can be dynamic and challenging – this training reflects that diversity.

Does the training take place with any number of participants?
The training will take place with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 participants in order to ensure a high-quality learning experience and enough individual attention.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the training will be cancelled. In this case, you will be informed no later than one month before the training starts and will of course receive a full refund (100%) of your registration fee.

Will there be another training or a Level 2 training?
At the moment, this is the only Level 1 training planned.
A Level 2 training is planned for later in the year, provided there is enough interest. Participation in a Level 2 training will only be possible after completing a Level 1 Aerial Yoga Teacher Training.

What language is the training held in?
The training is officially held in English.
However, I am a native German speaker and I am always happy to explain things in German when needed, for example when individual questions come up.
When we practice teaching and guiding sequences, you are welcome to instruct in German or English, depending on what you feel more comfortable with. Even though the training is advertised in English, there is space to practice teaching in both languages.
If all participants speak German, the training will be held entirely in German.
